Day or night, capture impressive professional-quality aerial footage with the ATOM 2 Drone from Potensic. This second-generation ATOM drone features a 3-axis gimbal and a high-quality camera capable of capturing 8K photos and 4K30 HDR videos. It can even shoot 12MP raw images and use a P-Log mode for flexible image processing. At night, AI Super Night intelligently handles the quality of low-light content. Multiple automatic video modes create dynamic shots, while additional photo modes expand your creativity. At under 0.55 lb, pilots can enjoy this and more with little to no restrictions or certification. Just unfold the ATOM 2 and fly. With Potensic's standard kit accessory bundle, you'll be ready to go right out of the box.

Pro-Quality Camera

The integrated camera on the ATOM 2 features a 1/2" Sony CMOS sensor and f/1.8 aperture to record high-quality content with reduced noise and enhanced low-light performance. Snap 48MP 8K stills or 4K30 HDR videos, enhancing each with 4x digital zoom and 5x slow motion features. For a more professional application, the ATOM 12 can capture 12MP raw stills and has a P-Log mode to record enhanced visual information for flexible post-flight image processing.

Dynamic Video Modes

An assortment of intelligent video modes can be used to film with the ATOM 2 while it dynamically flies a pre-designed flight path. Choose from these six different modes.

  • Dolly Zoom: The ATOM 2 smoothly flies while zooming in or out to create dramatic shots with depth and tension
  • Pull-Away: The camera tracks a target as the ATOM 2 flies back and up
  • Rocket: While tracking a target, the ATOM 2 ascends vertically to film it from above
  • Circle: With a centered target, the ATOM 2 flies in a circle around it from its current position
  • Spiral: Like Circle, Spiral centers on a target but then flies in a spiral around and away from it
  • Boomerang: In an elliptical path, the ATOM 2 flies around a centered target, gradually rising and then smoothly descending to its starting point

Creative Photo Modes

In addition to typical photo modes, such as burst, bracketing (BRK), and interval timer, the ATOM 2 has access to creative modes to handle specific situations. AI Super Night can intelligently enhance the quality of low-light footage for crisper and clearer results. As the name implies, defog mode cuts through foggy conditions for crisper images. Wide-angle, 180°, and sphere panoramas lead to breathtaking landscape shots, and vertical shooting mode is perfect for social media-ready photos and videos for immediate posting.

Make Life Easier

A host of smart and convenient features have been added to the ATOM 2 to make piloting that much easier. Starting with AI Visual Tracking, your target can be automatically framed and filmed on the move with either Spotlight, Follow, or Parallel modes. When starting or ending your flight, just press the takeoff/landing button on the app to automatically have the ATOM 2 do either.

While in the air, ATOM 2 has been upgraded to use a new GNSS system for up to 40% better location accuracy in hovering and returning to home. Pilots who leave the takeoff point can still use return-to-home by enabling a dynamic home point. This feature automatically updates the return point of the ATOM 2 to the current position of the remote controller. Finally, during long flights to a specific destination, activate cruise control to relax your hands and let the ATOM 2 fly straight and steady all on its own.

Fast Local and Long-Range Transmission

In this second-generation ATOM drone, the remote controller has been upgraded with a directional antenna that has increased sensitivity and precision. This is used by PixSync 4.0 technology to stream 1080p30 full HD video from the drone with just 120 ms of latency from up to 6.2 miles away. When the ATOM 2 returns, use SmartTransfer to transmit that data from the drone directly to your phone over Wi-Fi at up to 25 MB/s, letting you quickly post 4K videos and vertical images to social media platforms.

Remote with Potensic Eve

The included remote controller works with your smartphone and the Potensic Eve app to pilot the ATOM 2. The remote slides open to hold a phone in a landscape orientation with dimensions up to 6.7" long, 3.9" wide, and 0.5" thick. It also provides customizable features like a stick mode, two buttons, and stick sensitivity. With Potensic Eve opened, in addition to a live drone view, telemetry, takeoff/landing button, and other basic piloting features, the app offers these additional features:

  • Flight Record Playback: View detailed visual flight logging
  • Gallery Browsing: Quickly find specific moments with material classification, online previews, and video favorites
  • File Management: Materials and auxiliary files on your optional SD card are separated to make it easier to find content at a glance
  • Smart Reminders: These help to make flying easier and safer

Most Common Questions

Is it compatible with the DJI RC 2 Remote controller and if so, will it transmit live video feed to it?

Yes, the DJI Neo Drone is compatible with the DJI RC 2 Remote Controller and will transmit the view from the drone to the screen of the RC 2.

Does the Neo have collision control?

The DJI Neo Drone does not have any built in obstacle avoidance features. DJI recommends flying in a large open area or within a visual line of sight.

Can the camera face straight downwards for aerial photos?

The camera gimbal on the DJI Neo Drone (No Remote) is able to tilt at a -90 degree angle for a straight down view.

Is the Neo compatible with my Avata 2 goggles and controller?

The DJI Neo Drone is only compatible with the DJI Goggles 3 and either the DJI RC Motion 3, BH #DJRCM3, or the DJI FPV Remote Controller 3, BH #DJFPVRC3, as a goggles and controller combination at this time.

Can it shoot at 24 frames per second?

The DJI Neo Drone will not provide 24fps, but it will provide access to 60, 50, and 30fps.

Is any kind of license or registration required? I read somewhere that the weight of the drone meant no governmental regs.

The DJI Neo Drone will not require registration as the drone weight is under the 249g limit required by the FAA.

Switching between DJi Mini 4 Pro and DJI Neo, using one RC2, will the settings on RC2 be independently save to each drone?

When switching amongst DJI drones, such as the DJI Mini 4 Pro and the DJI Neo Drone, the DJI RC2 controller will remember the last settings applied to each drone.
